Secret Santa

Secret Santa
As a child I believed in Santa Claus, and the innocence of it all made for a magical time. I was shy and timid when sitting on Santa's lap and could never think of anything to ask for, except for a Barbie Doll®. I still have every doll I was ever given, and all the accessories, too. I will never willingly part with them, because each one holds a special memory. The beauty of my collection is many are from other countries and are of different races. Santa always remembered my request.

Today, I played Secret Santa to a child that is not as fortunate as I was. A Christmas party for 50 children is exciting! I was as excited as the children. Their smiles made my day and their hugs made my year! Santa was there to hand out the gifts, so I guess I was more like an elf; Santa's helper?

Everyone was on a sugar high, with cupcakes and cookies decorated in Christmas themes. There were Christmas stockings filled with candy canes and Hershey Kisses® in silver, red and green. I had a few myself. There was 'real food' too, but like all children, the Christmas stockings was where it was at.
The halls were decked and the trees were lit. I am so happy I was part of it.

In every community there are churches and organizations that allow us to make a child's Christmas all the merrier. The food banks and the food kitchens need donations, so everyone can have Christmas dinner. If you do not have the money - give your time. If you do not have the time - give money. Money is not everything, but it is essential. If I can make the time, then most of all of you can, too. I promise, the rewards exceeds some of our greatest expectations.

Ho Ho Ho - Merry Christmas!
Bikers do so much for our community.
