A Super |
Heading out on this rainy Saturday morning to shop for my Super Bowl Party on Sunday.
I had considered making a football stadium out of food. I have seen several photographs of the clever ways some present their Super Bowl foods. I cannot imagine me having the patience or time in designing a stadium with finger foods. I decided to grill/smoke beef brisket, a pork tenderloin and chicken wings. I will have yeast rolls hot and fresh from the oven to make sliders - small sandwiches and assorted toppings. Serving a hot and hearty meal will even satisfy the pickier eater. I am not a big fan on chips, dips, cookies and the like. I will have dessert, but I have yet to decide on baking a cake or cupcakes. I would think cupcakes would be easier to serve and eat, and they already come as one serving.
Before I head to the market to pick out my Super Bowl Party menu items, I am going to the mall with two friends. We are going to select our Valentine's Day dresses. They have so many clearance racks, trying to move out the fall/winter wardrobe to make room for the spring/summer line. I want to stop by Dillard's and check to see if they have marked their shoes down. As for Meridian goes, Dillard's has the best shoe selection, by far! Their end of the season deals cannot be beat. It is not that I am cheap; I prefer being considered frugal. I prefer my funds in my checking account or my savings account. I never buy anytime for full price and I usually hit the 75%-80% off sales rack. I try to teach others this concept - One can look like a million, without having to spend a million. But for all my good intentions, they would rather pay full price for an item and delight in telling others how much it cost. I like my clearance clothing and accessories. I like the challenge of a good hunt. And I like putting outfits together as if I had planned it that way from the beginning.
Have a Super Bowl Saturday!

The food was a big hit and people came hungry!
The half-time show sucked! Not a Madonna fan!
My favorite Super Bowl commercial was:
The Voice with Betty White! A Betty White fan!
To top it off, the New York Giants won!
I am still laughing at the 'sit-down touchdown!'
Loving me some Eli Manning - All the Manning men!
His father Archie Manning was a native Mississippian.
